Requirements

  • Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in good standing with at least one Canadian province (preference for multiple licensing or licensing that meets current needs)
  • 2+ years of Nurse Practitioner experience, with demonstrated experience in providing patients with the best possible care
  • Direct experience with treating and managing obesity (additional certifications or training in obesity or weight loss fields is a plus)
  • Physically located in Canada, with a billing number in the province(s) where licensed, required for ordering laboratory testing
  • Available to provide a minimum of 4-10 hours per week of synchronous patient care, plus logging in at least every 24-48 hours to address patient needs
  • Member in good standing of the College(s) where holding the title of Nurse Practitioner, maintaining eligibility and willingness to be licensed in other provinces
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow the code of conduct as per the governing body of province/territory
  • Experience in telemedicine (additional experience in weight loss, menopause, mental health, erectile dysfunction, and birth control care are assets)
  • Proficient understanding of technology, EMRs, and remote work
  • Adaptable and open to change

Responsibilities

  • Provide 4-10 hours per week of synchronous patient care via the platform
  • Log in at least every 24-48 hours to address patient needs
  • Treat and manage patients, particularly in weight management and obesity
  • Utilize the Felix platform for virtual care, including assessments (compensated on a per-assessment basis with minimum hourly rate for synchronous care)
