Requirements
- Thorough knowledge and utilization of Nuclear Medicine equipment
- Competence in performing venipuncture and administering radioisotopes following established protocols
- Understanding and compliance with quality control tests and reporting any failures
- Ability to perform routine equipment calibration
- Strict observation of safety precautions and use of protective devices
Responsibilities
- Performing Nuclear Medicine procedures according to approved techniques and NRC/ACR standards
- Supporting Virtua’s Mission and Vision statement and upholding Virtua values and Star behaviors
- Adhering to all Virtua policies and procedures
- Demonstrating competence in altering protocols to accomplish necessary results
- Understanding and complying with frequency and parameters of all quality control tests
- Recognizing and reporting recordkeeping failures or omissions
- Observing safety precautions and using protective devices when handling radiopharmaceuticals
