Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older
Valid U.S. driver’s license issued by the state of legal residence with proper endorsements if required
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
Must meet the medical requirements of the Department of Transportation (DOT)
Commercial or professional driving experience preferred, but not required
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis and up to 100 lbs. on an occasional basis

Responsibilities

Load and unload the vehicle for multi-stop deliveries
Transport deliveries by driving assigned vehicles (limited to GVW of 14,900 lbs.)
Use hand truck to move product from the delivery vehicle into the customer location, including up and down stairs as necessary
Accurately record delivery information, including operating a hand scanner and all company required documentation
Handle proper documentation and disposition for any return product
Communicate delivery-customer issues to proper authority (e.g., Customer Service, Territory Manager, Transportation Supervisor)
Deliver product to each designated stop following the provided stop sequence
Unload product safely and stage it in the space(s) designated by the customer
Check invoice for complete delivery, process paperwork, and handle damaged merchandise if any
Collect payments if necessary
Monitor refrigeration system on the delivery vehicle consistently for safety and follow all safe food handling procedures
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections (e.g., monitoring fluid levels, tires, windshield wash, replenishing fuel)
Other duties as assigned
Complete all functions in a safe and timely manner in accordance with DOT regulations
