Requirements

  • Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities for new product introductions, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and internal standards
  • Manage Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submissions and launch readiness documentation for new tooling and components
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, suppliers, and customers to define and validate quality requirements during product development and launch phases
  • Conduct Design and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA/PFMEA) and develop robust Control Plans for launch programs
  • Perform Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and Gage R&R to ensure inspection reliability and repeatability
  • Lead dimensional tooling reviews, provide feedback for tooling improvements, and support validation of stamping, injection molding, and die casting processes
  • Utilize Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and interpret engineering drawings to support launch quality activities
  • Drive launch containment plans, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for internal and supplier non-conformances
  • Develop and implement inspection criteria, work instructions, and quality check procedures for new product builds
  • Report program status, risks, and countermeasures to executive leadership and customers
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel (pivot tables), and Gantt charts for project tracking and reporting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in automotive product launch quality (Preferred)
  • Experience with AIAG Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA) (Preferred)
  • Familiarity with CMM programming, DOE, and statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab) (Preferred)
  • Strong communication, project management, and customer-facing skills (Preferred)
  • Prior experience supporting zero-defect launches in a fast-paced manufacturing environment (Preferred)
