Requirements

  • Computed Radiography Testing (CR) Level 2 NAS-410 qualifications (RT qualifications acceptable)
  • Familiarity with NAS 410 / ASTM / PWA specifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years inspection experience in a manufacturing environment (aerospace experience a plus)
  • Experience in Radiography with demonstrated knowledge in all aspects of X-Ray, including techniques, equipment, and procedures
  • Previous aerospace inspection experience
  • Experience with quality standards including AS9145, AS9100D, ISO9001 or equivalent
  • Experience with continuous improvement (CI) tools
  • Basic math skills and analytical skills
  • Ability to make sound decisions on inspecting, processing, and dispositioning aerospace components
  • Ability to follow established procedures and part-specific techniques
  • Ability to successfully perform calibrations, tests, and evaluations with NDT equipment
  • Ability to learn and gain knowledge of AS9100D, AS13100, ISO9001, ASTM, and NAS-410 standards
  • Detail-oriented
  • Must meet ITAR definition of US Person (documentation required)

Responsibilities

  • Interpret specifications and blueprints
  • Interpret engineering drawings and NDT requirements to ensure proper application of X-Ray techniques
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (AS9100, AS13100, FAA, NADCAP) and customer requirements
  • Ensure all X-Ray processes and procedures adhere to relevant standards and customer-specific requirements
  • Provide technical guidance and support; serve as a resource for X-Ray related issues to NDT apprentices, inspectors, engineers, and other personnel
  • Keep accurate logs of daily production activities and other required documentation
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives
  • Manage and maintain equipment and materials, ensuring proper calibration, maintenance, and availability of X-Ray equipment and materials
  • Maintain documentation and records, ensuring accurate up-to-date records of X-Ray activities
  • Participate in Corrective Action processes, including containment plans, root cause analysis, corrective countermeasures, and providing objective evidence for verification/closure
  • Perform all required inspections on product to assure compliance to CAM’s Quality System, Specifications, and Customer requirements for Industrial and Military/Aerospace products
