Candidates should be currently pursuing a degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or a related field. A basic knowledge of naval architecture principles, including ship design, stability, and hydrodynamics is required. Familiarity with CAD software such as Rhino, AutoCAD, or SolidWorks and simulation tools like Orca3D or ANSYS is preferred.
The Naval Architect Intern will assist in the design, development, and analysis of vessel hull forms, structures, and systems for autonomous surface vessels. They will conduct hydrodynamic and stability calculations, collaborate with senior engineers on CAD modeling and structural design, and support the integration of autonomous navigation systems. Additionally, the intern will participate in model tests, design reviews, and research on new developments in naval architecture and autonomous technology.
