Ethereum Technical Writing Intern

Position Overview

QuickNode is seeking an enthusiastic Ethereum Technical Writing Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to support the creation of high-quality guides, sample applications, and API documentation specifically designed for developers building on Ethereum. You will collaborate with experienced technical writers, engineers, and developer advocates to produce content that aids in onboarding new developers and supports experienced builders utilizing QuickNode's infrastructure. This role is perfect for students or early-career professionals with a passion for Ethereum and Web3, eager to gain hands-on experience in creating developer-facing content.

Project Scope

• Research and Write Guides: Develop 2-4 instructional guides focused on Ethereum development (e.g., smart contract creation/deployment with Solidity and Hardhat, integrating QuickNode APIs with Ethereum data).
• Build Sample dApp: Create a sample Ethereum-based dApp with a technical walkthrough to demonstrate implementation best practices.
• Update Documentation: Review and update existing QuickNode documentation pages for technical accuracy.
• Content Review: Participate in internal content reviews, collaborating with writers and engineers to improve technical accuracy and clarity.
• Present Contributions: Share your work and insights from the development process with the team.

Pre-Requisites

• Foundational Knowledge: Basic understanding of Ethereum, smart contracts, and EVM-based development.
• Programming Skills: Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., JavaScript, Python, or Solidity).
• Communication: Excellent written communication skills and a passion for explaining complex technical topics to technical audiences.
• Education: Academic background or work experience in Computer Science, Technical Writing, Engineering, or related fields (Bachelor's degree or currently enrolled).

Bonus/Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience contributing to developer blogs, personal projects, or open-source documentation.
• Prior startup, consulting, or VC experience.
• Basic understanding of crypto/blockchain infrastructure (nodes, APIs, wallets, etc.).

Learning Outcomes

• Gain real-world experience writing developer documentation for a leading Web3 infrastructure provider.
• Build a portfolio of technical content, including published Ethereum guides and tutorials.
• Strengthen understanding of Ethereum development tools, smart contracts, and APIs.
• Improve skills in communicating complex technical ideas clearly and effectively.
• Learn best practices in documentation workflows, content review, and developer experience (DX) standards.

Logistics

• Internship Length: August 4 - October 31
• Compensation: Paid internship (based on experience and program)
• Work Environment: Remote-first, with collaboration in US time zones preferred.
• Mentorship: Direct exposure to senior leadership and access to Product, Support, and Content teams.
• Reporting: Reports to the Sr. Technical Content Manager.
