Requirements

High school diploma required
Minimum of two years of related experience in the natural gas industry is preferred
Experience in drafting natural gas pipelines
Strong understanding of AutoCAD
Knowledge of personal computer hardware and software configurations
Familiarity with AutoCAD 3D
A technical degree is a plus
Knowledge of MicroStation and/or ESRI is a plus
Excellent technical writing skills
Strong organizational skills
Excellent communication skills
Self-motivated
Ability to work well with others

Responsibilities

Prepare computer drafted natural gas pipeline as-builts and mechanical detail drawings
Reproduce historic pipeline drawings in AutoCAD
Generate bill of materials
Ability to work independently
Print working drawings using a plotter
Create estimated time requirements for projects
Save project-specific data on a daily and weekly basis
Operate a scanner to duplicate project documents and scan field notes
Complete pipeline 'as-built' drawings from field notes, historic documents, survey data, etc
Complete 811 design requests and coordinate responses to obtain 3rd party infrastructure
Verify and organize field visit survey notes
Assist Project Managers as needed
Attend project-specific meetings to determine CAD schedules
Maintain excellent client relations
Maintain a safe working environment
