- Competence to perform venipuncture
- Ability to effectively communicate with all customers; display high degree of tact and diplomacy and maintain supportive relationships
Responsibilities
- Consistently performs high quality MRI studies according to protocols established by the Radiologists
- Films all MRI exams utilizing proper window and level
- Follows protocol for room set-up, obtains patient assessment form and injection procedures
- Follows established protocols for administering contrast medium
- Verifies order and patient identification before performing MRI exam
- Screens all patients for medical appropriateness of MRI procedure as well as for potential projectiles before entrance into the exam room; ensures patient assessment form is completed and validated before patient enters MRI room
- Provides superior customer service to patients and personnel
- Follows appropriate safety guidelines during operation of MRI equipment
- Adheres to established protocols
- Performs MRI procedures in accordance with approved techniques and standards
- Operates MRI equipment in a safe and responsible manner
