Knowledge of applicable software packages including Maya, Mudbox/ZBrush, 3D Coat/Topogun/Paraform Linux
Ability in relevant scripting languages including MEL, Perl, and Python (a plus)
2-year diploma or 1-year certificate preferred; minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience may be accepted
Must be able to provide a demo reel showcasing relevant artistic and technical experience, including nuances specific to this role

Responsibilities

Creates and builds computer generated 3D models for assigned story elements and designs
Prepares and builds models for characters and stand-ins for layout
Develops prop elements for effects
Creates environmental sets and structures
May focus on developing technical drawings for model productions
Writes, maintains, and runs Makefiles, scripts, and model databases
Accountable for meeting productivity and quota targets
Able to develop models for multiple types of productions from simple to moderately difficult
Participates in dailies, rounds, and team reviews of work in progress
Interacts with production, supervisors, and team/peers to problem-solve and share information
Deciphers and follows through on shot turnovers, dailies, briefings, and feedback
Works efficiently as part of a team or independently to determine design solutions
