Remote Licensed Therapist (1099 Contractor)

Position Overview

Headspace is seeking part-time, independently licensed contractor therapists to provide direct, virtual care as part of a multidisciplinary team on a 1099 contract basis. Therapists should have at least 10 hours available per week with flexibility to adjust their schedule. Please note that it may take several weeks to establish a consistent schedule due to demand and member scheduling fluctuations.

Compensation

• Pay Range: $80 - $85 per teletherapy session.
• Exact reimbursement rates are determined during the interview process and depend on factors such as location, licensure type, experience, specializations, languages spoken, and populations treated.
• Session lengths are 60 minutes for intake and 45 minutes for follow-up appointments. Concurrent note-taking is expected and included in the session rate.

Requirements

• Must be licensed and reside in the US (50 states only, excluding U.S. territories).
• All work must be provided within the U.S. Personal health information may not be accessed, disclosed, or used outside of the U.S.
• 3+ years of experience providing clinical psychotherapy to individuals.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, innovative tele-therapy to Headspace patients via a HIPAA-compliant video conferencing platform.
• Complete, sign, and lock clinical case notes in the EMR within 48 hours of each session.
• Maintain a personalized database to record proof of licensure, license updates, expiration dates, and personal information.
• Keep availability calendar up-to-date.
• Collaborate with a care team including health coaches, other therapists, psychiatrists, and external care providers.
