Familiarity across multiple stages of physical product design and development (e.g., blue-sky ideation to design for manufacturing)
Experience in one or more categories: tech hardware & digital experiences, home appliances & decor, beauty/skincare/fragrance packaging, spatial environments, luxury goods, food & beverage, 360° brand application
Eternally curious, pushing limits of skills, researching new tools/techniques, and sharing self-improvement with the team
Finger on the pulse of trends in design, technology, arts, and culture
Strategic thinking, visionary storytelling, exceptional ideation through sketching, 3D modeling, rendering, physical prototyping
Understanding of manufacturing processes and materials
Ability to contribute to projects with moderate self-sufficiency, taking guidance from Senior Designers and Directors
Professionalism, courtesy, clarity, and efficiency in direct client contact (presentations, calls, messages)
Highly creative and strategic thinker and maker

Responsibilities

Contribute to the full design process: strategic thinking, inspiration-gathering, ideation, 3D modeling, physical prototyping, visual rendering, design for manufacturing, presentation crafting
Take on a variety of projects—sometimes simultaneously—from quick sprints to large, complex initiatives
Work with Senior Designers and Design Directors to understand & translate priorities and help define the creative vision
Mentor younger designers through example and direct guidance
Quickly surface project questions, challenges, or ambiguities to senior staff or Project Managers
Continuously improve hard and soft skills, surfacing interesting developments
