Associate’s degree in electrical/electronic technology and 24 months as a Meter Electrician C
State Driver’s License
Within 24 months of employment, successfully complete the Company’s training and qualification program (classroom instruction, written examination, job mentoring, job performance demonstrations)
Work overtime as needed including extended daily shifts and weekends
Work late shifts as needed
Work independently under semi-direct supervision in a safe, efficient, and productive manner
Proficiently use computers and applications related to this position
Effectively communicate with other employees, customers, and the general public in a courteous and appropriate manner

Responsibilities
Read meters as required for field order and on schedule for cycle billing
Install, remove, change disconnect, and reconnect meters
Test single phase, network, and polyphase self-contained meters for proper operation and accuracy; program meters
Perform Credit and Collections related orders including disconnect and reconnect for non-payment
Investigate irregular usage
Investigate energy diversion
Repair meters, meter sockets, and meter enclosures
Order, receive, ship, store, and inventory meter and associated equipment
Investigate self-contained service power quality problems, install event recorders, neutral testers, and produce reports
Perform work from ladders and elevated platforms
Visually inspect distribution system capacitors, regulators, reclosers, alternated feed switches, and line voltage monitors
Install and maintain self-contained and transformer rated electric meters energized up to 480 volts in the shop, stations, switchyards, and on customer premises
