Requirements

Live in Virginia
1 or more years of provider office and/or medical office setting experience
1 or more years of Medical Record and/or health information experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Word and Excel
Ability to lift 30 lbs
1 or more years Demonstrated ability in using computer and Windows PC applications, including strong keyboard and navigation skills including ability to learn new computer programs
Valid state driver's license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance with at least 100/300/100 limits

Responsibilities

Travel to provider offices within the region and scan medical records into a secure system
Ensure accurate and properly supported clinical documentation within the health record
Follow state and federal regulations as well as internal policies and guidelines while analyzing medical records
Schedule appointments and visits to physician offices in a timely, efficient manner to meet all deadlines
Use a laptop computer and a portable scanner and encrypted flash drive to retrieve medical records which will be uploaded into a database
