Requirements

Candidates must possess an MD with specialization or formal training in Oncology or Hemato-Oncology. An active medical license and board certifications are preferred. The role requires clinical experience comparable to 2 years in treating patients related to the applicant's training. Additionally, one to two years of relevant clinical trial experience in a Contract Research Organization, pharmaceutical company, or as a principal investigator is necessary.

Responsibilities

The Medical Director will provide medical oversight for clinical trials, ensuring adherence to company SOPs, client directives, good clinical practice, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include attending and presenting at investigator and sponsor meetings, offering medical consultation to clients, investigators, and project teams, and supporting business development. The role also involves providing medical review and analysis for serious adverse events, marketed product ICSRs, periodic safety reports, and other client deliverables such as labeling reconciliation documents, CTD modules, REMS, RMP, and CSRs. This includes monitoring safety variables, discussing medical concerns with principal investigators and clients, managing signal detection activities, scientifically reviewing aggregate reports, contributing to label updates, supporting dossier maintenance and risk management, and medically reviewing adverse event data from various sources.
