Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship)
  • For Engineer: Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or closely related engineering field
  • Engineer I: Minimum 0-2 years experience in a product design or related engineering role
  • Engineer II: Minimum 3-4 years experience in a product design or related engineering role
  • Engineer III: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a product design or related engineering role
  • Engineer IV: Minimum of 7+ years of experience in a product design or related engineering role
  • For Designer: Graduate of an accredited technical school for design and drafting or Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering related technology
  • Designer III: Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a product design role
  • Designer IV: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a product design role
  • Experience in material specifications for various design applications by applying metallurgical expertise
  • Experience with CAD software & solid modeling
  • Experience regarding Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) methods and tolerance stack analysis
  • Design experience regarding machining, turning, molding, casting, and other manufacturing processes
  • Interest in mobile equipment design and operation

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes product specifications and performance requirements to determine designs that balance performance, functionality, cost, and ease of manufacture
  • Directs and participates in the construction and testing of prototypes to evaluate product design and functionality
  • Solicits and evaluates input from various sources to meet project and customer requirements and ensure manufacturability
  • Reviews product designs for compliance with standard engineering practices, company and industry standards, customer requirements, and related specifications
  • Performs analysis using calculations, testing, or computer methods on legacy and new product designs to determine safety factors, expected life, and manufacturability
  • Creates and maintains essential design information and documentation, including models, drafts, schematics, and purchased part documentation, as well as supporting technical publications
  • Provides solutions to complex and challenging issues while balancing workload among multiple projects and priorities
  • Researches and designs components and mechanical systems
  • Uses CAD equipment to create or modify model files
  • Collaborates with suppliers and engineers across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic disciplines
  • Directs the work of drafters, illustrators, layout personnel, and technicians
  • Additional duties may be assigned as needed
