Requirements

  • Expertise in commissioning mission-critical mechanical equipment, start-up, and testing in data centers/buildings
  • Knowledge of developing maintenance programs and plans
  • Experience with building commissioning processes, including developing and executing commissioning tests
  • Familiarity with vendor equipment factory witness testing (FWT)/factory acceptance testing (FAT)
  • Ability to support design reviews, manufacturer submittals, schematic drawings, project schedules, and LEED/Green Star qualifications
  • Skills in QA/QC for mechanical equipment installation and startup
  • Capability to manage teams, assign tasks, and ensure safe work practices

Responsibilities

  • Development of mechanical equipment and system test scripts
  • Attend and actively participate in customer equipment FWT/FAT
  • Vendor coordination and management
  • Perform equipment inspection to ensure adherence to vendor submittal
  • Provide test and documentation that equipment is delivered, installed, tested correctly, and set to function properly
  • Support and perform design specification review, manufacturer submittals, schematic drawing sets, and project schedule documentation
  • QA/QC of mechanical equipment installation/startup
  • Assign test commissioning tasks to the mechanical commissioning team
  • Execute test scripts to confirm equipment and system operation to design specification
  • Ensure safe work practices are followed by all on the commissioning team and customer site
  • Engage with customers to ensure positive experience, goal achievement, and schedule adherence
  • Provide daily reports for the mechanical team
