Responsibilities

  • Supervise the meat department team to deliver on the business plan, communicate goals, execute programs, and adhere to policies
  • Maintain meat department standards for quality, inventory, production, equipment, safety, sanitation, and compliance
  • Share knowledge, prioritize training on item specifications and equipment usage, and engage members to assist with product selection
  • Leverage digital tools to plan sales, improve shopping experience, enhance associate engagement, and make real-time business decisions
  • Drive business results through operational excellence, maintaining a clean and safe work area, forecasting, planning, production, inventory, ordering, staffing, audits, and compliance
  • Ensure meat and seafood equipment and storage systems are in working order and produce/display merchandise per layout plans
  • Identify training needs, teach/develop skills for high-quality products, encourage career growth, and source new talent
  • Develop, communicate, and implement processes to meet business needs by collaborating with stakeholders and monitoring results
  • Promote compliance with policies, procedures, ethics, and integrity; assist in correcting issues using the Open Door Policy
  • Lead and participate in teams by sharing resources, determining priorities, coordinating assignments, providing feedback, and adapting to changes
