Responsibilities
Assist in leading day-to-day activities of department operations, ensuring associates are trained, department is fully staffed, operating at company standards, and meeting goals and KPIs
Properly cut all types of meats into various cuts and prepare related products per company and department standards to contribute to store's financial interests
Order and maintain inventory using control procedures to ensure product freshness and quality
Cut and weigh steaks, chops, etc., for individual servings
Review and validate received orders for amount, quality, count, weight, condition, and store products appropriately
Assist Department Manager in managing team for stocking, production, tasks ensuring product quality, production planning, accuracy, date-sensitive rotation, and handling spoiled/damaged products per guidelines
Maintain familiarity with all department and store products, advertised items, special prices, coupon deals, and sales/rewards programs
Communicate and execute weekly and period Flight Plan to company expectations and timelines
Follow company policies and timelines using required tools/software for scheduling per forecasted guidelines
Assist Department Manager in implementing/maintaining work schedules, labor control, overtime control, and payroll expense
Implement Our Winning Recipe and model core values and competencies
Manage department including staffing, training, performance management, and career development of associates
Develop and monitor department forecasts as required
Attend and participate in daily huddles
Maintain clean, attractive, well-stocked department using structure of the day guidelines and “Prime Time” standards
Ensure all food safety guidelines and requirements are followed store-wide, taking immediate corrective action if not
