Requirements
- Ability to receive, rotate, cut, wrap, and merchandise fresh and processed meats, including grinds
- Capability to assist in merchandising seafood, prepared foods, cheeses, pre-packed deli, rotisserie chicken area, and full service deli
- Knowledge to assist in meat selection and prepare special meat arrangements for members
- Commitment to maintaining all sanitation and safety standards within the meat department
- Adherence to club policies, procedures, and compliance
- Ability to carry out job functions with honesty, integrity, speed, agility, and a focus on members
- Understanding of production and/or financial performance reporting for the department
Responsibilities
- Engage and provide assistance to members by making recommendations and answering questions regarding meat, poultry, and seafood
- Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by members
- Cut, grind, and/or process fresh meats to company cutting standards
- Weigh, package, wrap, and label cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood to company packaging standards
- Ensure the meat case showcases all currently available products and maintains appropriate inventory levels
- Ensure meat, seafood, prepared foods, and cheese cases are fully stocked; rotate products according to expiration dates
- Follow guidelines for disposing of damaged and/or expired products
- Clean and sanitize all equipment, display fixtures, and areas in the meat department, including meat cooler, freezer, and refrigerated display cases
- Inspect and store meat upon delivery
- Support GOLD Member Standards (Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate) and club standards for cleanliness, organization, stocking, and promotional execution
