Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience in materials or production scheduling
  • Computer skills
  • Bilingual English-Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Overall ownership of material orders, availability, and scheduling with a target of at least 2 weeks inventory levels
  • Expert in Oracle
  • Ensure systemic inventory accuracy
  • Rescheduling materials for pull-ins (accelerations) and push-outs (for inventory control)
  • Daily research and resolution of root cause of shortages
  • Close collaboration with suppliers focusing on: packaging needs, min/max planning, PCN as related to old/existing parts, material replenishment planning, root cause issue resolution
  • Perform daily walks on the floor and receiving dock to investigate and resolve material issues
  • Support material transfers, supplier reviews with procurement
  • Field modification instruction as applicable: material ordering, program formulation
  • Supplier visits as necessary, internal and external
  • Manage gradual entry/exit (NPI) to minimize obsolete material
  • Provide supply analytics data and recommendations as necessary
  • Assist in cycle count efforts as determined
  • Support development of tools for material issue prediction
  • Support all lean action activities, initiatives, and trainings
