Requirements

Ability to use documented work instructions and manufacturing execution systems for receiving, picking, or delivering parts
Experience with semi-routine assignments and processes
Ability to work with little direction
Ability to operate Powered Industrial Vehicles (e.g., forklifts) to load, unload, and transfer materials
Problem-solving skills
Ability to read and understand written instructions and schematics

Responsibilities

Prepares kitting packages for assembly production
Performs physical or administrative tasks involved in shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing materials, parts, supplies, and equipment
Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices
Maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items
Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped
Posts weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipment
Examines, stocks, and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines
Receives, picks, or delivers parts
Assembles product as required
Delivers material to the production area
Picks up waste
Delivers finished product on a scheduled basis following a set route
Assists with changeover
Provides tools and materials
Gives additional help needed to maintain standard work and keep the flow going
