Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of related experience
  • Some experience in logistics with a life science company preferred
  • Proven ability to consistently and independently follow policies, procedures, instructions, and meet schedules
  • Proficiency in operating powered industrial trucks and competence in using the equipment at different elevations
  • Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance (working conditions specify continuous lifting up to 25 lbs., routine push/pull up to 25 lbs., regular climbing, occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.)
  • Ability to walk, stand, reach on a continuous basis; routinely push/pull, climb; occasionally sit, kneel, crouch, crawl
  • Must be available to work any shift (with advance notice), flexible with varying schedules, hours, and overtime
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with moderate to high noise levels, repetitive tasks, and varying degrees of stress

Responsibilities

  • Pick, pack, sort, arrange, count, store, and accurately process items for storage and/or shipment in accordance with established procedures and customer requirements, ensuring high quality and timely delivery
  • Receive materials and/or finished goods daily, verifying the quality, type, and quantity of materials received, and ensuring appropriate documentation (e.g., packing list) is present
  • Safely operate distribution equipment as required
  • Complete Thermo Fisher Scientific training requirements and operate within all ISO standards related to site Distribution, including Control of Documents and Quality Policy
  • Follow required Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) practices and complete related training
  • Respond to customer service and other external department inquiries regarding order requirements and/or fulfillment issues
  • Operate RF Scanner for transactions
