Requirements

Previous experience handling raw materials in a manufacturing setting
Previous experience as a Forklift Driver
Ability to safely handle all products and materials
Ability to perform work under minimal supervision and handle complex issues and problems, referring only the most complex issues to higher-level staff
Comprehensive knowledge of subject matter
Ability to act as a lead and provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group

Responsibilities

Strap pallets (2-way or 4-way depending on customer location) using the right dunnage, strapping gun, and ergo machine
Perform quality inspections by checking specs on samples using a measuring tape
Ensure all documentation from the floor is completed and placed in the plastic envelope
Move strips and finished goods to support production flow
Use the wrapping machine and replace wrapping rolls
Strap pallets using conventional methods and hand wrap if needed
Use the buddy check system to assist when loading trucks
Inspect incoming board/rolls to ensure flute, caliper, and sizes match the purchase order
Help with miscellaneous assignments and general labor
Perform tasks as assigned by supervision
