Requirements

  • Ability to work in cold environment (30-40°F temperatures)
  • While performing duties, required to walk and reach with hands and arms 34-66% of the time
  • Required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel 67-100% of the time
  • Required to stand; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk and hear 0-33% of the time
  • Must lift and/or move up to 75 pounds 67-100% of the time
  • Must pass the Forklift Certification Test upon hire
  • Must have at least 6 months forklift experience

Responsibilities

  • Transfer materials to/from production lines as needed
  • Load and log materials on outbound trailers
  • Unload and verify inbound deliveries of materials
  • Clean and organize dock and packaging room daily
  • Dispose of discarded packaging and damaged items; return unused items to dry trailer for dry warehouse
  • Maintain proper segregation of allergen items as required by Quality Control
  • Assist in physical inventory counts and verifications
  • Assist production with identification and allocation of materials
  • Notify production and warehouse supervisors/managers of material shortages or substitutions
  • Sweep and clean empty trailers
  • Return unused items to freezer/cooler at end of shift
  • Connect forklifts to charger at end of shift or as necessary during the day
  • Maintain fluid levels in forklift batteries
  • Other duties as assigned
