Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Familiarity with material handling and material movement
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Ability to use proper lifting techniques and material movement equipment effectively
  • Ability to be flexible in role, adjusting to new processes, technologies, or production requirements
  • Ability to handle material and parts
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions (bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, lifting, gripping, and grasping with hands)
  • Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per shift
  • Ability to lift up to XXX lbs
  • Ability to work in environments with noise, chemicals, dust, sharp objects, moving/rotating mechanical parts, and temperature extremes

Responsibilities

  • Receive, stage, issue, and deliver materials within the facility to support production schedules and customer orders
  • Safely operate pallet jacks and other manual material handling equipment
  • Load and unload materials from trucks and containers
  • Accurately enter inventory transactions into ERP/MRP systems or scanning devices
  • Perform cycle counts, assist with physical inventories, and report discrepancies to supervisors
  • Inspect incoming materials for damage or discrepancies and maintain accurate inventory documentation
  • Adhere to safety protocols, use PPE, and practice proper lifting techniques
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas and properly store tools and equipment
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, engineers, and quality control personnel to resolve issues and improve processes
  • Demonstrate flexibility by working overtime when needed, cross-training in other areas, and adapting to new processes or technologies
  • Other duties as assigned
