Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in production control, materials, or shop floor expediting
  • 1–3 years of supervisory or lead experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of material flow, WIP management, and ERP/MRP systems
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with a team-first mindset
  • Experience in defense or aerospace manufacturing preferred
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
  • U.S. Person status (U.S. citizen, legal permanent resident, or certain protected asylees/refugees) due to access to export-controlled information

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate a team of material expeditors to execute and adjust daily priorities based on real-time production needs
  • Collaborate with production, supply chain, and engineering to identify and resolve material shortages before they impact schedules
  • Monitor WIP locations and ensure timely material movement between receiving, kitting, production, and shipping
  • Ensure ERP/MRP transactions (issues, transfers, and tracking) are accurate and timely
  • Identify and address potential bottlenecks before they affect production, implementing proactive solutions
  • Drive continuous improvement in expediting processes, material flow, and communication between teams
  • Train, mentor, and motivate team members to promote accountability, teamwork, and proactive engagement
  • Support cross-functional initiatives to achieve weekly and monthly production goals
