Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Materials Science or Metallurgy
  • Understanding of metal properties and related material characteristics
  • Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written), with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly
  • Results-driven and adaptable, with the ability to prioritize, make timely decisions, and solve problems independently
  • Ability to work effectively across all organizational levels and within a distributed team
  • Availability minimum 20 hours per week

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to innovation projects in metals and plating technologies in Aptiv Connection Systems
  • Assist the Product Engineering teams to define the most suitable material given the application details
  • Work closely with suppliers to validate new materials and control material specifications
  • Support material cost savings initiatives
  • Analyze alloy consumption and propose initiatives to improve operating efficiency
