Requirements

Pursuing a Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Materials Science or Metallurgy
Understanding of metal properties and related material characteristics
Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written), with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly
Results-driven and adaptable, with the ability to prioritize, make timely decisions, and solve problems independently
Ability to work effectively across all organizational levels and within a distributed team
Availability minimum 20 hours per week

Responsibilities

Contribute to innovation projects in metals and plating technologies in Aptiv Connection Systems
Assist the Product Engineering teams to define the most suitable material given the application details
Work closely with suppliers to validate new materials and control material specifications
Support material cost savings initiatives
Analyze alloy consumption and propose initiatives to improve operating efficiency
