The position pays $26.00 per hour.
The schedule is Monday-Friday on the 1st shift with no nights or weekends.
Candidates need to be skilled as a specialty meat cutter using knives, have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a meat cutter including middle meats such as filets and ribeye, and experience with band saws, laser portion machinery or other meat production equipment. Additional requirements include knowledge of poultry, beef, lamb, and pork products including USDA grades and standards, knowledge of NAMA guidelines and product cut numbers, ability to work in a fast-paced production environment, basic math skills, and ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
The role requires working continually in a refrigerated environment of 35°F-45°F onsite, following company GMP for sanitary conditions, and involves significant physical activity including continuous standing, frequent lifting up to 50 lbs, and other movements.
Strong candidates will have at least 5 years of meat cutting experience including specialty cuts like filets and ribeye, proficiency with knives, band saws, and other equipment, knowledge of meat products and standards, and the physical ability to work in a cold, fast-paced environment while training junior cutters.
