The entry-level pay rate is $41.40 per hour, with the current Level 2 pay rate at $54.60 per hour.
The position is based at the Marathon Pipe Line’s Marine Terminal and/or the East Hynes Land Terminal in Long Beach, California. It is not a remote role.
A high school diploma or GED is required, with an Associate’s degree in a technical field and/or Journeyman level qualification preferred. Candidates need proficiency in basic computer skills, a valid driver’s license with a good driving record, and the ability to troubleshoot instrumentation, control systems, PLCs, and medium voltage equipment.
The role may involve a Monday–Friday, Monday–Thursday, or Thursday–Sunday day shift schedule, which could include rotations, occasional callouts, overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays, subject to management discretion. It requires working independently and in a team environment around petroleum facilities.
Strong candidates will have an Associate’s degree in a technical field or Journeyman level qualification, experience troubleshooting PLCs, control systems, and instrumentation, and the ability to complete Level 2 qualification within 24 months of hire.
