Requirements

  • L3 Engineering Apprenticeship Standard, or Advanced Engineering Apprenticeship Framework + L3 Knowledge-Based Qualification (e.g. Diploma) + L3 Competency-Based Qualification (e.g. NVQ)
  • ISO 9001 Internal / Lead Auditor Qualification
  • Desirable - A good knowledge of EN 9001:2015 requirements and the key principles of a QMS
  • A strong understanding of manufacturing processes and certification requirements
  • Proven attention to detail, with a commitment to following procedures and identifying gaps or inconsistencies
  • The ability to conduct fair, objective, and consistent audits
  • Strong recordkeeping and documentation skills
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across departments
  • A proactive mindset with a drive to uphold and improve quality and compliance standards
  • British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship (Security Clearance requirement)
  • Ability to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct annual audits across all Certification Stamp Holders (currently circa 700), verifying that the required processes are being followed
  • Maintain thorough and accurate audit records, supporting both internal reviews and external compliance requirements
