Responsibilities

  • Provide daily support to manufacturing activities to meet goals for safety, quality, cost, and production
  • Maintain systems that support monitoring of key performance indicators (e.g., yield, nonconforming material, lead time); plan and implement changes for adverse trends
  • Work with line support team (QC Supervisor, Mfg Supervisor, Quality Engineer, Operations) to perform line situation triage, determine non-conformance, initial bracketing/containment, and support ER generation if needed
  • Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
  • Assure production lines output meets product specifications
  • Maintain manufacturing documentation (e.g., process instructions, lot history records, bill of materials)
  • Investigate, conduct tests/experiments, gather data, perform preliminary analysis, report findings, and prepare/communicate recommendations and action plans
  • Lead root cause analysis efforts
  • Integrate with manufacturing line team (line supervisor, Quality Engineer, operators) to address opportunities; accountable for quality, safety, product output, and yield
  • Serve as sustaining engineer for the department as needed
