Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university
  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Authorized to work for any employer in the US without the need for sponsorship, now or in the future
  • Available for on-site work at the manufacturing facility in St Joseph, MO (Summer 2026, up to 40 hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Shadow commissioning and startup activities to understand the relationship between design, build, and operation
  • Update project tracking logs (RFIs, submittals, action items) under direction of the Project Engineer
  • Assist in field verification and as-built drawing updates for active construction zones
  • Conduct basic time studies or process flow observations to support layout or throughput analysis
  • Perform equipment tagging, nameplate data collection, and verification against the P&ID or single-line diagrams
  • Support material tracking, receiving, and documentation within Fieldwire or SharePoint
  • Help prepare meeting minutes, photo documentation, and punch list items for construction reviews
