Requirements

  • Lead implementation of projects at the supplier level, managing communications related to test plans, monitoring timelines, and ensuring milestones are met
  • Approach problems from a detail-oriented perspective
  • Suggest independent recommendations for project approach, scope, and tactics
  • Demonstrate understanding of quality, operational, and financial systems, company products, customer requirements, and business impacts
  • Demonstrate understanding of how other functional groups are impacted by projects
  • Design fixtures, acquire off-the-shelf tooling and equipment, and implement new fixturing on the production line
  • Perform equipment qualifications, process validations, and tests on processes, equipment, raw materials, and product
  • Author protocols, write reports, and make conclusions/recommendations based on test results
  • Develop, characterize, and optimize processes using statistical techniques and engineering knowledge
  • Train assemblers, quality control, and technicians on processes, equipment, and documentation
  • Adhere to the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS) and domestic/global quality regulations, standards, and procedures
  • Understand and adhere to relevant security, privacy, and compliance principles, regulations, standards, and procedures
  • Ensure other department members follow QMS, regulations, and standards

Responsibilities

  • Support production by creating and maintaining product and process documentation
  • Monitor process and equipment performance and identify/implement process improvement activities to increase/optimize yield, efficiency, and/or throughput
  • Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate detailed phases of engineering work as part of a project or as a total project
  • Develop specifications for products, processes, or equipment
  • Coordinate with suppliers and external resources for developing and implementing process improvement plans
  • Participate in project planning and scheduling
  • Perform other activities requiring knowledge of principles and techniques in the specific area of projects
  • Independently perform and/or coordinate assigned tasks as directed by project team leader, manager, self-identified, or business needs
