Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (emphasis in Supply Chain Management highly preferred)
  • Experience in purchasing/buying or other areas of supply chain preferred
  • APICS or Project Management certifications preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills and PowerBI experience a plus
  • Ability to travel 10%

Responsibilities

  • Purchase materials, components, and/or equipment at the lowest cost consistent with quality and urgency of need to support planned production
  • Coordinate activities with manufacturing unit to maintain inventory at planned levels
  • Maintain system data to support MRP (e.g., safety stock levels, MOQ, ROP)
  • Support production to provide excellent customer service (80% tactical responsibilities, 20% strategic projects)
  • Manage purchase orders
  • Perform supplier management and negotiation
  • Handle expediting and managing MRP messages
  • Determine part disposition
  • Control document revisions
  • Lead inventory control/reduction initiatives
  • Provide new product introduction support
  • Assist implementation of new programs and processes
  • Participate on supplier audits and supplier visits
