Position Overview

Danaher is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join their Supply Chain AI team. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and making a real difference in the life sciences, diagnostics, and biotechnology sectors. You will be instrumental in supporting, developing, and maintaining the data and analytics platform, enabling agile data delivery at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Support, develop, and maintain the data and analytics platform.
  • Collaborate with Business and IT teams to understand requirements and leverage technologies for agile data delivery.
  • Develop reliable, efficient, scalable, and quality data pipelines with monitoring and alert mechanisms, integrating various data sources using ETL/ELT tools or scripting languages.
  • Develop and operate large-scale data storage and processing solutions using distributed and cloud-based platforms (e.g., Data Lakes, Snowflake, SSIS, SSAS, Apache Spark, Hadoop).
  • Implement methods for continuous monitoring and troubleshooting of data quality and integrity issues.
  • Implement data governance processes for managing metadata, access, and retention.
  • Analyze complex data elements, systems, data flow, dependencies, and relationships to contribute to data models.
  • Implement and automate deployments for ingesting and transforming data from various sources (relational, event-based, unstructured).
  • Coach and develop a team of data engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of experience OR Master's degree with 5+ years of experience in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, including:
    • SQL/PLSQL
    • SSIS, SSAS
    • Designing ETL, data models, data architecture, and data warehouses.
  • 1+ year of experience leading or managing a team.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Oracle EBS or other ERP data models, particularly in Operations and Supply Chain modules.
  • Ability to utilize expertise in ERP processes and data models to understand user requirements and communicate them to the development team.
  • Experience with data schema design using cloud tools such as Snowflake, Azure, or AWS.
  • Familiarity with co-solution development environments using Scala, Java, or Python.
  • Familiarity with creating reports and visualizations using Oracle Analytics Cloud, Power BI, or similar BI tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of core business processes (Supply Chain, Operations) gained from direct experience in these functions.
  • Experience with AI agent solution development.
