Manager, Pharmacist in Charge - BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy at Elevance Health

The Manager, Pharmacist in Charge is responsible for the organization, coordination, direction, and evaluation of all pharmacy services, including supervising staff and managing operating expenses to provide high-quality healthcare. This role ensures staff accountability, maintains appropriate licensing and continuing education, develops competence assessment programs, and ensures efficient and safe performance of duties. Responsibilities include assisting in policy and procedure adherence, staying current with state and federal regulations, coordinating pharmacy services with other health professionals, ensuring personnel meet performance standards, selecting and training staff, serving as a liaison between the specialty pharmacy and other entities, maintaining state permits and PIC requirements, managing pharmacy expenses, and initiating, monitoring, and reporting on QA&I activities.
