Requirements

  • Ability to ensure quality improvement during pre-construction activities and implement quality requirements across projects
  • Skills in communicating with project teams, evaluating engineering deliverables, assessing material submittals, and conducting periodic site inspections
  • Capability to ensure quality documentation of project installations through coordination with project teams, monitoring construction activities, reviewing inspection reports, and site inspections
  • Proficiency in interpreting policies, maintaining official training materials and document files, and managing company equipment and property
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and interpreting quality programs
  • Supervisory experience, including interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, directing work, evaluating performance, addressing complaints, and resolving issues for a team of Construction Quality Specialists and Site Construction Quality Specialists

Responsibilities

  • Own the field quality (QA/QC) program, including updates, annual audits to apply lessons learned and drive continuous improvement, updates to the cloud-based system, training of project teams, and other tasks to ensure excellence in project execution
  • Assign and coordinate quality personnel across various projects
  • Support staffing needs for quality personnel to meet current and upcoming project requirements
  • Manage training and certification requirements for quality personnel
  • Provide quality oversight on all construction projects, ensure implementation of Beta’s Quality Program, support the construction team with quality-related issues, and conduct audits to verify compliance
  • Assist in resolving site-specific construction issues through increased site presence or remote support from the office
  • Support the project team by reviewing design-phase drawings to identify constructability concerns and ensure specifications, industry standards, and project designs are properly implemented prior to construction
  • Ensure plan requirements are met through audits of material submittals, construction activities, site inspections, and communication with the project team
  • Participate in meetings with the field construction team to discuss design and constructability issues and develop strategies to improve progress and quality on future projects
  • Share lessons learned with project teams as appropriate
  • Assist in phase completion inspections, development of subcontractor punch lists, and submission of quality documentation
  • Directly supervise a team of Construction Quality Specialists and Site Construction Quality Specialists, carrying out responsibilities in alignment with company policies and applicable laws
