Requirements

  • Expertise in US Federal guidelines and regulations related to export controls, denied parties, and embargoed countries
  • Knowledge of global export compliance in countries where BMS is an exporter
  • Familiarity with export transactions including proper invoice practices, ECCN/Licensing Requirements, denied parties, and embargoed countries
  • Experience with Restricted Party Screening processes within SAP and other third-party programs
  • Ability to draft, organize, and manage US Export licenses
  • Commitment to excellence, integrity, ownership, and accountability for results
  • Subject matter expertise on Site Import Administration related activities, issues, and questions

Responsibilities

  • Ensure import and export compliance for BMS North American operations, including compliance with US Federal guidelines
  • Assist with global export compliance in countries where BMS is an exporter
  • Provide support for export transactions escalated to the Corporate Customs & Trade Compliance organization
  • Support management of Restricted Party Screening processes within SAP and other third-party programs
  • Support drafting, organization, and management of US Export licenses
  • Execute international shipments between sites across the Cell Therapy network, including customs operations management and automation, stakeholder communication, and managing through final delivery
  • Manage and maintain files of all inbound and outbound customs and trade documentation in audit-ready state; coordinate with internal customers for audits or information requests pertaining to FTZ, TIB, and Standard entry summary 7501
  • Adhere to applicable processes and work instructions for alignment with global and site policies and procedures
  • Support Cell Therapy trade operations and logistics management team on customs and trade compliance processes and productivity improvement initiatives
  • Execute Site Import and Export Administration responsibilities for FTZ
  • Facilitate communication with customs brokers to ensure accurate documentation for timely BMS imports with minimum delays and zero errors
  • Provide clearance information to designated brokers, FDA, and other government agencies for entries
  • Relay release information to operations to prevent manipulation or disbursement of inbound shipments prior to FDA Release, as applicable
  • Maintain and automate an Import Checklist to ensure all entries are properly submitted
