Requirements

CPA designation required
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a start-up or fast-growing environment
Ability to leverage technology, with a strong commitment to data integrity and experience driving efficiencies through automation and system improvements
Strong financial operations management skills, particularly managing a high-volume of transactions
Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
Preferred Skills
Experience researching, documenting, and concluding on complex technical accounting matters, ensuring compliance with US GAAP
At least 2 years experience managing all or part of the month-end process
Experience with NetSuite is an asset

Responsibilities

Managing and overseeing the team’s expense corporate credit card program and management system, ensuring timely reporting, compliance, and accurate data
Driving the research, documentation, and conclusion of complex technical accounting matters, ensuring compliance with US GAAP
Reviewing reconciliations and journal entries, ensuring timely and accurate monthly variance analysis and resolution of discrepancies
Providing oversight of the Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions, ensuring efficient collections and vendor payments
Assisting in overseeing the month-end and year-end financial closing process, ensuring deadlines are met efficiently and financial records are closed accurately
Monitoring system integrations, maintaining financial data integrity, and troubleshooting issues that may arise
Working with external advisors and auditors to ensure compliance across financial reporting and tax
