Requirements

3-5 years of experience in Mainframe application development and support
Mandatory skills: COBOL, CICS, JCL
Mandatory skills: VSAM and Sequential Datasets
Mandatory skills: NoSQL Database (as applicable)
Mandatory skills: Mainframe ZOS environment
Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Prior experience in Banking projects, preferably within the Cards domain
Good-to-Have skills: Easytrieve
Good-to-Have skills: CardLink / Vision Plus knowledge

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Mainframe-based applications using COBOL, CICS, and JCL
Develop and support applications handling VSAM and Sequential Datasets for batch and online processing
Participate in all phases of the SDLC, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and implementation
Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and operations to deliver high-quality, secure, and reliable solutions
Provide production support and perform root cause analysis for incidents and defects
Ensure adherence to established change management and quality assurance standards
Prepare and maintain technical documentation for all developed components and system enhancements
Support continuous improvement initiatives and recommend optimizations for Mainframe application performance
