Requirements
- Expertise in Mainframe DB2 subsystem maintenance, including procs, JCL, backups, reorgs, and system catalog/directory management
- Proficiency in DB2 installation, upgrades, and application of PTFs/HIPER PTFs on test/production systems
- Knowledge of DSNZPARM parameters, system tuning, bufferpool management, and performance monitoring
- Experience with complex DB2 configurations for SYSPLEX and DataSharing environments
- Skills in DB2 security enforcement, data security audits, and audit conformance
- Ability to lead complex projects, including upgrades and client-driven initiatives
- Expertise in Mainframe MQSeries subsystem maintenance, including procs, JCL, and backups
- Proficiency in MQSeries installation, upgrades, pageset configuration, channel allocation, buffer pools, and security rules
- Knowledge of MQSeries PTF application, security enforcement, network connectivity, and distributed queue management
- Experience with disaster recovery setup and drills for DB2 and MQSeries components
- Availability for 24x7 on-call rotation support
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment with in-office days in Toronto
Responsibilities
- Maintain DB2 subsystem procs and JCL
- Execute backups of DB2 system catalog and directory files with reorgs
- Perform basic change management (ticketing, opening/closing changes)
- Conduct data security audits (collect evidence, correct non-compliances)
- Install and upgrade DB2 subsystems and related sub-products
- Apply preventative/corrective maintenance PTFs and HIPER PTFs
- Enforce DB2 security and audit conformance
- Perform disaster recovery drill exercises
- Tune systems, review memory/resource consumption, and manage bufferpools
- Interface with change support, vendor support, and automation teams
- Develop complex DB2 configurations for SYSPLEX and DataSharing
- Lead complex projects (upgrades, client/internal deliverables)
- Maintain MQSeries subsystem procs and JCL
- Backup MQSeries system components
- Perform basic change management for MQSeries
- Conduct data security audits for MQSeries
- Create/install new MQSeries subsystems and sub-products; upgrade existing ones
- Define/configure MQ pagesets, storage classes, channels, buffer pools, and security rules
- Apply MQSeries PTFs/HIPER PTFs
- Enforce MQSeries security and audit conformance
- Install network connectivity on Mainframe side
- Set up disaster recovery for MQSeries pagesets, logs, etc
- Support MQSeries Distributed Queue Management
