Requirements

Ability to perform mathematical computations to set up and run machine and/or process
Ability to operate manufacturing equipment such as lathes, PEG equipment, lathe cutting machines, microscopes, comparators, optical benches, and measuring devices
For Acrylics Machine Operator: Ability to set up PO (Production Order) on the manufacturing line and produce IOL at the Lens Generation area
For PEG: Ability to manage, utilize, and properly dispose of area reagents and processing supplies, including liquid and solid waste, according to EHS dispositions and rules
Adherence to environmental policy, procedures, and support for department environmental objectives

Responsibilities

Prepare and operate manufacturing equipment such as lathes and PEG according to established procedures
Perform cleaning and adjustments to equipment
Ensure continuous flow of units by performing all tasks related to running the equipment
Perform a variety of repetitive and non-repetitive tasks with the work team on the manufacturing line
Operate general manufacturing equipment including lathe cutting machines, microscopes, comparators, and optical benches
Execute setup and adjust parameters of manufacturing machines/equipment to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
Perform set-up of equipment for processing lens runs received from the previous process
Monitor machine performance and take immediate action according to results obtained
Perform necessary tests to run the process and equipment
For PEG: Wash PEG fixture trays in the washer machine and ensure continuous flow in unload/cleaning operation
For PEG: Document, print, and analyze required information on production orders, PEG sheets, ellipsometer, plasma, and pressure charts
For PEG: Perform line clearance between PEG runs following good manufacturing practices and procedures
Maintain work area organized and clean
Perform preventative maintenance of the equipment
