Requirements

  • BS or advanced degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Biomedical Engineering, Physics, Neuroscience, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields
  • 5+ years of combined academic and/or industry experience in designing, training, testing, and analyzing deep neural networks (convolutional, recurrent, spatiotemporal, attention-based)
  • Background in ultrasound or other medical imaging modalities and related software tools such as DICOM, pydicom, opencv, and ITK
  • Knowledge of computer vision and image processing techniques and methods
  • Experience with Python and the Python scientific stack (numpy, scipy, matplotlib, pandas, scikit-learn, scikit-image)
  • Advanced experience with at least one major deep learning framework (Tensorflow, PyTorch, etc)
  • Experience with writing production code and code review process
  • US Citizen or Green Card holder
  • Must reside in CST or EST time zone within the USA

Responsibilities

  • Develop data processing and labeling pipelines to prepare data for model training, assess model performance, and investigate model failure modes
  • Perform model optimization and/or develop novel models to predict clinical outputs from ultrasound frames and clips
  • Design and implement frameworks for assessment of image quality for real-time user feedback during image acquisition
  • Optimize model architecture and inference for on-device deployment on cost-efficient hardware
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop product functional requirements, define clinical use cases, and plan regulatory strategies
  • Develop internal intellectual property and partake in disclosures and patents of novel ideas
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in ultrasound and AI
