A High School diploma or equivalent is required, along with a minimum of two years of general logistics experience specifically with clinical trials, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Candidates must possess excellent client and phone service skills, knowledge of Good Clinical Practices and laboratory principles, intermediate computer literacy, accurate data entry skills, superior analytical, interpersonal, and time management skills, excellent verbal communication and customer service skills in English, and critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Proven negotiation and problem resolution skills are also necessary.
The Logistics Associate II will participate in and support department projects, performing logistics and administrative work to ensure efficient and effective operations. This role involves coordinating and supporting logistics, ensuring high levels of support, service, reliability, and availability to internal departments. Responsibilities include actively solving problems to ensure timely delivery of shipments, facilitating communication with IOR for correct delivery of supply orders, escalating issues when client/IOR is unresponsive, and participating in courier operational meetings. The associate will serve as a point of contact for clinical sites regarding courier operations, sample pickups, and supply deliveries, arranging pickups and contingencies when needed. They will also support Associate Logistics Coordinators, issue Pro-forma invoices, manage the Proforma mailbox, maintain courier contact sheets and starter packs, and assist with training on these processes. Additionally, the role involves daily interaction with clients/IOR to ensure correct delivery of supply orders, coordinating the review and action on custom reports, and supporting the investigation and resolution of Quality Events.
