Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Translation, Communications, or a related field, and demonstrate at least 3 years of experience in localization management, preferably within the education or technology sector. Strong project management skills and a deep understanding of linguistic principles are essential, along with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
The Localization Manager will lead localization quality by coaching in-house experts, ensuring timely and high-quality content delivery through rigorous quality control processes. They will collaborate with state leadership to develop strategic project plans aligned with curriculum and Khan Academy strategies, and partner with the content team to establish guidelines for creating easily localizable English content. Furthermore, the Localization Manager will drive user insights by facilitating feedback loops with state teachers and collaborate with the tech team to ensure seamless execution of localization projects, maintaining platform functionality and sharing best practices within the organization.
