Requirements

  • Ability to perform all general warehouse functions including loading, unloading, manual depal, receiving, put-a-way, pulls, replenishments, and selection of product when qualified
  • Specific equipment and/or process certification for each function
  • Capability to work in freezer, cooler, and dry warehouse environments with extreme cold and/or warm temperatures
  • Successfully complete the receiving certification process and testing
  • Ability to operate MHE such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely
  • Knowledge of Preferred Work Methods (PWMs), warehouse management systems, RF equipment, and proper lifting techniques
  • Understanding and compliance with Company policies, State/Federal laws, regulations (e.g., OSHA, HACCP), and food safety policies
  • Perform duties safely, accurately, and meet set productivity standards and goals

Responsibilities

  • Ensure pallets received meet defined requirements and inspect product for shortages, damage, quality, or deterioration
  • Enter/scan accurately LPN, catch-weight, manufacture date, expiration date, piece count, and weights into warehouse management system using RF equipment
  • Verify and record information against bills of lading, invoices, and other records; report overages, shortages, and damages on OS&D form
  • Verify refrigerated and frozen product temperatures according to PWMs and follow temperature abuse process if out of tolerance
  • Record and communicate vendor compliance issues via vendor compliance form; apply blind LPNs if needed
  • Ensure proper operation of dock doors, plates, lights, and locks; report repair needs to supervisor
  • Maintain neatness, cleanliness of work areas and aisles, and accuracy of warehouse locations
  • Report unfixable/unsafe issues immediately to supervisor and observe/enforce all safety rules
  • Operate MHE safely, perform daily inspections, keep clean, and report repair needs
  • Use warehouse computers and RF equipment safely and professionally
  • Work effectively with supervisor to minimize warehouse shrink/damage
  • Perform other warehouse duties as assigned
