Requirements

Ability to perform all general warehouse functions including loading, unloading, manual depal, receiving, put-a-way, pulls, replenishments, and selection of product when qualified
Specific equipment and/or process certification for each function
Capability to work in freezer, cooler, and dry warehouse environments with extreme cold and/or warm temperatures
Successfully complete the receiving certification process and testing
Ability to operate MHE such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely
Knowledge of Preferred Work Methods (PWMs), warehouse management systems, RF equipment, and proper lifting techniques
Understanding and compliance with Company policies, State/Federal laws, regulations (e.g., OSHA, HACCP), and food safety policies
Perform duties safely, accurately, and meet set productivity standards and goals

Responsibilities

Ensure pallets received meet defined requirements and inspect product for shortages, damage, quality, or deterioration
Enter/scan accurately LPN, catch-weight, manufacture date, expiration date, piece count, and weights into warehouse management system using RF equipment
Verify and record information against bills of lading, invoices, and other records; report overages, shortages, and damages on OS&D form
Verify refrigerated and frozen product temperatures according to PWMs and follow temperature abuse process if out of tolerance
Record and communicate vendor compliance issues via vendor compliance form; apply blind LPNs if needed
Ensure proper operation of dock doors, plates, lights, and locks; report repair needs to supervisor
Maintain neatness, cleanliness of work areas and aisles, and accuracy of warehouse locations
Report unfixable/unsafe issues immediately to supervisor and observe/enforce all safety rules
Operate MHE safely, perform daily inspections, keep clean, and report repair needs
Use warehouse computers and RF equipment safely and professionally
Work effectively with supervisor to minimize warehouse shrink/damage
Perform other warehouse duties as assigned
