Requirements

  • High School Diploma required
  • Strength, endurance, and ability to work in extreme temperature conditions (as low as -5 degrees)
  • Ability to read alpha and numeric codes from load sheets
  • One-year recent experience in highly physical, labor-intensive occupation preferred
  • Must satisfactorily complete all company-mandated training and assessments
  • Performs all pre-shift duties including safety check of all equipment
  • Works in multi-temperature areas as assigned
  • Performs various shift duties including ensuring trailer cleanliness, proper temperature, and readiness for loading
  • Ensures all pallets are built according to stops and securely wrapped to avoid damage
  • Verifies header labels on all pallets and checks for damaged or outdated products before loading
  • Confirms load diagram is completed and submitted

Responsibilities

  • Load all outbound orders into designated tractor trailers in compliance with company procedures and standards
  • Properly secure products in trailers to ensure they are safely stowed and organized for maximum efficiency
  • Meet weekly standards for loading productivity and accuracy while working safely
  • Build pallets according to stops and securely wrap them
  • Verify header labels, check for damaged or outdated products, and confirm load diagrams
  • Perform pre-shift duties including safety checks of equipment
  • Ensure trailer cleanliness and proper temperature before loading
  • Work in multi-temperature warehouse environments including coolers and freezers
