- Licensed Medical Provider (LMP): Psychiatrist or PMHNP/DNP
- Ability to assist with risk of harm clarification, medical urgency assessment, diagnostic formulation, resource identification, and medication evaluation/discussion
- Provide psychiatric assessments and ongoing medication management
- Support Trauma Informed Care environment and understand effects of trauma on health, coping, and lives of those served
- Provide formal and informal case consultation to case managers, therapists, nursing staff, treatment team members, family, and support systems
- Coordinate with primary care and other external care providers per community standards
- Understand, appreciate, and respect diversity and cultural differences within the Cascadia community, with awareness and sensitivity to perspectives of those served and colleagues
- Availability for on-call/per diem shifts Monday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Urgent Walk-In Clinic in SE Portland, OR
Responsibilities
- Determine medical necessity and appropriateness of mental health services for enrolled consumers
- Document medical supervision of cases by signing comprehensive mental health assessments, updates, and individual support and service plans
- Provide psychiatric assessments for enrolled consumers
- Provide screening and assessment of consumer’s medical needs, including lab testing
- Provide medication management
- Provide consultation to UWIC clinicians, community providers, and evaluations for individuals referred by community PCPs
- Support services ranging from one-time consultations to ongoing services depending on the program
