Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and a Paralegal Certificate or equivalent experience
  • 4–7 years of experience as a paralegal handling litigation and investigations, preferably in a law firm, regulatory agency or corporate legal department
  • Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, discovery rules, and case management practices
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • Excellent research, writing, and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and document management systems; experience with e-discovery tools strongly preferred
  • Comfortable supporting fact-finding and investigations, including taking detailed interview notes and synthesizing information for attorney review
  • Exhibit discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment in handling sensitive information, including concerning highly confidential regulatory matters
  • Proactive problem-solver who thrives in a collaborative team environment

Responsibilities

  • Assist with case management, including drafting correspondence, preparing discovery responses, maintaining litigation calendars, and supporting fact-finding by attending internal interviews, taking notes, and organizing information
  • Oversee the collection, organization, and review of documents for litigation, regulatory inquiries, and internal investigations
  • Act as a point of contact for external counsel and e-discovery vendors; track budgets, invoices, and case updates
  • Regularly monitor federal and state court dockets and summarize case developments for the legal team
  • Prepare, proofread, and submit filings in accordance with applicable rules and deadlines
  • Conduct factual and legal research to support litigation and regulatory matters
  • Partner with compliance, finance, human resources and business units to gather information and support internal reporting
  • Contribute to the refinement of internal litigation support processes and knowledge management systems
